The children and youth in our community face many challenges. Drug use is rampant in our area, and it impacts children’s lives in countless ways. Hunger, homelessness, child abuse, gangs, domestic violence, and the temptations of drugs, alcohol, and premature sex all constantly bombard our children and threaten their futures.

The greatest need for at-risk children and need is relationships with caring adults. All of our programs are intentionally relational and encourage volunteers to get to know children and their families.

Mentoring is an intentional friendship between a caring role model and a child or teen. Mentors meet weekly with their child on Mondays from 6 to 7 PM and assist with reading, schoolwork, and character development. More than 60 children and youth meet weekly with a mentor, and more are on our waiting list. Apply online or complete this form and the coordinator will contact you with more information.

We host the novice team of the OKC Youth Wrestling Foundation. Volunteers serve as coaches and girls program leaders. The program is a unique combination of sports, faith, and character education that turns at-risk youth into champions. Learn more about the OKC Youth Wrestling Foundation or apply to be a volunteer.

The Canaries Running Team is a group of children and coaches who know their worth in Christ. The team participates in 5Ks, Fun Runs, and track meets throughout OKC. Volunteers serve as coaches and mentors. Learn more about the Canaries Running Team or apply to be a volunteer.

Every child should feel loved at church. Volunteers enable us to reach out to children who come from homes where there is little positive encouragement, and we partner with Christian parents to encourage their children to follow Christ. Volunteers can serve on Sundays in the nursery, junior kids church, or kids church. Leaders are also needed to assist in Royal Rangers and mPact clubs on Thursday evenings.

If you are interested in volunteering with our children’s church, please complete this form and the children’s pastor will contact you with more information.

RESISTance youth meets on Sunday mornings and Thursday nights. Mature believers are needed to assist in this growing ministry. Please complete this form and the youth pastor will contact you with more information.
