We all face challenges. When life gets people down, we want to provide a hand up. Our compassion ministries meet immediate needs while connecting people with caring role models and Christ followers who encourage people who visit our programs to become part of the solution for a city in need.
Groceries are distributed on the 4th Saturdays to 75 families in need. A food co-op also meets on the 2nd Saturday and works together to meet their families and communities food needs. Volunteers are donations are welcome. Read more.
Quality used clothing is available free of charge through our clothing closet ministry. The closet is open twice a week. Volunteers are needed to sort items and assist guests, and seasonal donations are appreciated. Read more.
Community Resource Center
A new Community Resource Center opened in January 2014. This program provides consultation and resources customized to meet individual’s needs. Referrals to partners and community agencies are provided. Volunteers are needed to serve as mentors and guides to mothers seeking assistance. Read more.
Kids and Youth
We cannot leave children and youth to the influences found on urban streets. A mentoring program provides positive role models for students while encouraging academic excellence. Additional opportunities provide afterschool activities and spiritual formation. Read more.
